EN:Able Futures, an award-winning apprenticeship employer, are partnering with Construction Excellence Award winners Caddick Construction and Caddick Civil Engineering who are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Management Support Apprentice to kickstart their career working on the new build homes development on Orchard Park.

Relevant information about the project

We are looking for someone that has a keen interest in construction management and learning about the Built Environment, including Civil Engineering and how construction projects are managed and progress through the different stages until completion.

What you'll do
Working on a construction site for new build housing you would support the management team with a variety of tasks, which will give you good all-round knowledge and experience to progress with a career within the professional side of construction.
What you would be learning & getting involved with:
• Assisting Project & Site Managers in planning, organising and coordinating construction site activities
• Progress Monitoring – Monitor the progress of construction activities, using technical drawings to identify the requirements of the project, identifying potential delays or issues and implementing corrective measures when necessary
• Site Supervision – Learn to oversee construction sites, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety and quality standards
• Documentation & Reporting – Learn to maintain accurate records of the project activities such as daily diaries, progress updates & documentation
• Project Planning – Participate in project review meetings to understand project requirements & timelines
• Engagement with Sub-Contractor trades on site
• Communication – Liaise with internal and external customers

Essential qualities

• A good team player
• Capable of working with all levels of staffing from senior management to trade sub-contractors
• Have the ability to use Microsoft packages
• Be analytical and have an eye for detail
• The desire and interest to progress within the construction industry sector

Qualifications Required

5 GCSE's Grade 5-9 including Maths, English and Science

Relevant information about the site

The successful candidate will work towards a Level 3 Construction Support Technician Qualification, which will take 24 months (plus End Point Assistant) and will be delivered through East Riding College.

37.5 Hours Per Week.
Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00
£257 Per Week (This is made up of the National Apprenticeship Wage plus £17 travel allowance)
