Enable Futures, a multi-award-winning Apprenticeship Employer, are partnering with GRK Civils, a family-run company who specialise in Groundworks and Civil Engineering, to employ an Apprentice Groundworker. If you love construction and would prefer a physical hands-on role then this is the role for you!
Relevant information about the project
• Site excavation in preparation for groundworks tasks
• Setting and marking out
• Installation of internal and external drainage systems
• Preparing, pouring and laying concrete
• Laying kerbs and flagstones
• Installation of manholes
• Handling and moving loads manually and with mechanical aides
• Wearing appropriate PPE specific to tasks
• Adhering to health and safety
Essential qualities
• Be fit and healthy as this is a physically demanding role
• Have a desire to work in the construction industry
• Have a keen and enthusiastic manner
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Show a commitment to learning, personal development and apprenticeship training
Qualifications Required
GCSE Grade 3-9 in Maths, English and Science
Relevant information about the site
The successful candidate will work towards a Level 2 Groundworks Qualification, which will take 24 months (plus End Point Assessment) and will be delivered by either Leeds College of Building or Sheffield College on a day release basis.
40 Hours Per Week
Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:30
£319 Per Week (This is made up of the National Apprenticeship Wage plus £17 travel allowance)
