As an apprentice you will learn how to undertake the following day to day tasks:-

• Working in an exciting and dynamic environment both office and construction site based, you will be at the heart of company using digital processes and systems to secure future projects and to enable progress and completion of actual construction sites.
• You will interact with professional and technical teams across different parts of the organisation, potentially on a range of sites and in an office environment. You will also liaise with external organisations due to the need to ensure built environment activities and services are progressed at the right time, to high quality standards, with accurate designs and at competitive rates.
• Work closely with experienced Planners to enhance your knowledge and understanding of construction and planning.
• Provide planning support during preconstruction stages.
• Support on-site operations teams when required.
• Prepare reports as needed for each project.
• Deliver high-quality logical programs and ongoing monitoring for projects on-site.
• Work to ensure all project processes and procedures covering the planning, scheduling and progress monitoring activities are well understood and efficiently followed by the project team and all contractors.

• Keep track of change orders and extra work orders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement relevant strategies to enhance project planning and execution.

Essential qualities

• Have a strong interest in wanting to work in
• Ability to work as a team or independently on your own.
• Put safety first for themselves and others ensuring compliance with health & safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office (excel & Word) with a keen interest in learning new software packages.
• Have good customer service skills to create & maintain effective working relationships.
• Have good time management skills to deliver tasks within specified timescales.
• Ability to deal with unexpected situations, and time constraints to complete work safely.
• Deal equally and fairly with individuals from all backgrounds, genders and disabilities.
• Keen to learn with an interest in the construction/civil engineering sector.
• Willingness to work toward the Level 3 qualification.
• Contribute to the development of good working relationships within the team.

Those candidates who are currently studying in construction or have some previous construction based experience would be welcomed.

Qualifications Required

• Willingness to immediately attain a CSCS card (this will be funded).
• 5 x GCSE’s grades A-C / 4-9 including Maths, English & Science.

Duration 24 months plus EPA (college day or block release)


40 Hours Per Week - Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30

£228.20 per week (This is made up of the National Apprentice Wage + £17 weekly travel allowance)
