EN:Able Futures, an award winning apprenticeship employer are partnering with ACS Roofing Services to support their growing business. We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to work with ACS Roofing Services and become part of their growing team. The role will be office based with some site work when required.

As an apprentice you will learn how to undertake the following day to day tasks:-
• Assisting senior managers with the budgeting of construction projects.
• Control of costs during a construction project.
• Selection and management of specialist contractors.
• To contribute to the mitigation of disputes using accurate records.
• Recording, control and reporting of income and expenditure on a construction project.
• Valuation of progress on construction projects.
• To assist senior managers with the legal and contractual issues on a construction project.
• Apply Health & Safety issues to all activities.
• Assist in the selection of and negotiation with specialist contactors for a construction project.
• Assist in the measurement and costing of construction works during a project.
• Assist in the collection, collation and storage of data and its analysis.
• Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post.
Essential qualities
• Have a strong interest in wanting to work in the construction sector.
• Ability to work as a team or independently on your own.
• Put safety first for themselves and others ensuring compliance with health & safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office (excel & Word) with a keen interest in learning new software packages.
• Have good customer service skills to create & maintain effective working relationships.
• Have good time management skills to deliver tasks within specified timescales.
• Ability to deal with unexpected situations, and time constraints to complete work safely.
• Deal equally and fairly with individuals from all backgrounds, genders and disabilities.
• Keen to learn with an interest in the construction sector.
• Contribute to the development of good working relationships within the team.
Qualifications Required
• Willingness to immediately attain a CSCS card (this will be funded).
• 5 x GCSE’s grades A-C / 5-9 including Maths, English and Science.
• Previous construction experience or a previous level 3 qualification in a construction-based occupation.

Duration 36 months + EPA (college day release)
7.30am – 4pm with some flexibilities for travel
Monday to Friday
30 minutes for lunch
£250 per week
